TOURNAMENT BASICS
- Each tournament will have a morning and afternoon session.
- Morning categories are different from afternoon categories.
- A school team can enter 1-8 students per category.
- Each student can participate in a maximum of two categories per tournament (1 morning category, 1 afternoon category).
CATEGORIES and RULES
SPEECH INTRODUCTIONS:
For each category, students will be called based on a Letter/Number system to keep judges/students as unbiased as possible.
For example, a school's code could be Letter B, and then the numbers are determined based on category and the number of students performing in that category per school. So for example, if Sally is the one and only student from Awesome School (assigned to Letter B) who is participating in the Storytelling category (200), her Speech Number might be B201.

- Students Number Name is called by judges: "B201"
- Student B201 walks to the front of the room and faces the audience.
- Student asks, "Are the judges ready?" (judges may still be writing notes from the student before)
- Once judges indicate they are ready, the student introduces his/her piece and author (or announces self-written if a self-written piece), "The Three Little Pigs" By Joseph Jacobs"
- Student Bows.
- Student stands upright and begins.
- *WHEN FINISHED: Student bows and then returns to his/her seat.
